Refund policy
At Plant and Machine Parts, we are committed to ensuring our customers receive quality products and a reliable service. However, we understand that there may be circumstances where you wish to return an item. This policy outlines the conditions under which plant and machine parts may be returned and refunded.
We understand that identifying the correct part can sometimes be difficult. If you are unsure about compatibility before placing your order, we strongly recommend contacting our team for assistance. If you have already placed an order and believe the item may not be compatible, please contact us within 30 days of receiving your order. To help us assess the issue, we may request photographs or additional vehicle details.
You will be responsible for covering the cost of return shipping. Please note that shipping fees are non-refundable. Even if you were not charged for shipping at the time of purchase, when a wrong item is ordered, we will refund the amount, excluding the shipping price of £7.50 (ex. VAT), once we have received the return. Please note that this is a standard shipping charge and may vary depending on the size, weight, and delivery type of the item ordered.
Return Period
You have 14 calendar days from the date of purchase to request a return. If more than 14 days have elapsed since your purchase, unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund or exchange. We recommend inspecting your order promptly upon delivery to ensure everything is in order.
Eligibility Criteria for Refunds
In order to be eligible for a refund, the returned product must satisfy all of the following requirements:
-
The item must be unused and show no signs of installation or wear
-
It must be returned in its original packaging, including all protective materials and documentation
-
The product must remain unopened, with any factory seals or security tags still intact
-
The item should be in undamaged condition, free from defects unless it arrived faulty
All returns will undergo an inspection process upon arrival to verify that these conditions have been met. If the returned item does not comply with the above criteria, we reserve the right to refuse the refund.
In some cases, we may agree to accept returns of products that have been opened or handled. However, if the packaging has been tampered with or the item shows any evidence of use, we may apply a restocking fee of up to 40%, depending on the condition and resale value of the item.
Proof of Purchase
To complete your return, we require evidence of purchase. Acceptable forms include:
-
An original sales receipt
-
A purchase order or invoice
-
An order confirmation email showing the order number and date
This documentation must accompany the returned goods. Without valid proof of purchase, we cannot process any refund, regardless of item condition.
Return Procedure
To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team to request a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number. This RMA must be clearly included with your return shipment. Returns sent without prior authorisation will not be accepted or processed.
Items must be securely packaged to avoid damage in transit and sent to:

Shipping and Handling
Customers are responsible for covering the cost of return shipping unless the item is faulty or sent in error. Original delivery charges are non-refundable.
We strongly advise using a tracked and insured courier service when returning items, as we cannot be held liable for any loss or damage during transit. Any returned item that arrives damaged or in unsatisfactory condition may be subject to refusal or partial refund.
Please note that we do not accept returns or offer refunds on orders shipped via pallet delivery or on clearance products. Customers are advised to ensure all items are correct before placing an order, as these purchases are non-returnable.
Faulty or Incorrect Items
If you have received an incorrect item or one that is damaged or faulty, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery. We will assess the issue and may offer a replacement, refund, or arrange for the item to be returned at our expense, depending on the situation.
International Orders
For orders delivered outside the United Kingdom, customers are responsible for ensuring that the products ordered are suitable and compatible before placing an order. If you are unsure whether a part is correct for your machine, we strongly recommend contacting Plant and Machine Parts before ordering so our team can assist with part identification.
If an incorrect or unsuitable product has been ordered by the customer, the customer will be responsible for all costs associated with returning the item to the United Kingdom. This includes return shipping, courier charges, insurance and any other costs associated with the return. Original international delivery charges are non-refundable.
Customers are also responsible for any import duties, customs charges, local taxes, VAT, clearance fees or other charges applied by the destination country. These charges are determined by the relevant local authorities and are not included in any refund provided by Plant and Machine Parts.
If a returned product generates UK import duties, customs charges, handling fees or other costs when being returned to us, these charges will also be the customer's responsibility where the return is due to an incorrect product being ordered, incompatibility, change of mind or another reason that is not the fault of Plant and Machine Parts. Any such charges paid by us may be deducted from the final refund amount.
International returns must be authorised by us before being sent. Customers should contact our team to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) and return instructions. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured international courier service, as Plant and Machine Parts cannot accept responsibility for items that are lost or damaged during return transit.
Returned products must comply with the eligibility requirements outlined in our main Returns Policy, including being unused, undamaged and, where applicable, in their original packaging. Any applicable restocking fee of up to 40% may also apply depending on the condition and resale value of the returned product.
If an international customer receives an item that is incorrectly supplied by Plant and Machine Parts, damaged or faulty, they must contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide photographs and any other information requested. We will assess the circumstances and advise on the appropriate resolution. Customers should not return an item internationally without first receiving instructions from our team, as unauthorised shipping, customs or import charges may not be reimbursed.
